Jon Hutchinson had 2 goals (including the game winner)and an assit in a league victory over Avondale, also scored the lone tally shorthanded in the 3rd to tie West Bloomfield in a league game, helping us start 1-0-1 in league action, being involved in 4 of 6 goals.

I would like to nominate Drew DeMarti for MHSHCA Player of the week.
Drew had an amazing 7 point game vs Fraser in which he had 6 goals and 1 assist. He was also, for the first time ever, my hardest worker on the ice. We only had 13 players (including our goalie) in uniform due to our football team being in the state finals (3 players), two out with injury and two away for the holiday. We won the game 8-2.

I would like to nominate Chris Pontello of the SCS Unified Lakers for the MHSHCA Player of the Week.
In the Championship Game of the Ann Arbor H.S. Showcase tournament against South Lyon,Chris Pontello scored all 4 goals for SCS Unified. The Lakers lost the game in double overtime 5 - 4. Pontello is a senior and Captain of the Lakers who came back from a 4 - 1 deficit to tie the game and send it into overtime."Chris has really bought into our system and has become the leader of this team" said Coach Frank DiCristofaro."He has the skills to go a long way with his hockey career."

Ryan Maloney had an astonishing 7 points in two games this past week for the Eagles. On Wednesday, Ryan had a goal and three assists against Troy Athens assisting his Eisenhower teammates to a 5-2 victory. On Friday, Ryan had 3 goals and 1 assist in a 7-0 victory over Troy High School. Ryan's contributions on the ice has helped lift the Eisenhower Eagles to a 4-2 record.

I would like to Nominate Austin Hibner for Player of the Week Austinis a Junior at De La Salle and had a 3 goals against Port Huron Northen and 3 goals against Grosse Pointe North and a Assist in the Novi Catholic Central game.
Zac had a short handed goal and an assist in EGR's 4-2 win over Kentwood and scored all four goals in a 5-4 double overtime loss to South Lyon in the finals of the Kentwood invitational.
I would like to nominate Jaycob McCombs for player of the week. Jake had 2 goals and 1 assist in our 4-3 win over Davison on Jan 13th. He also scored the game winner in against big Rapids in our 2-0 win on January 16th.

I would like to nominate John Brosch for player of the week. In two games he scored 5 goals. In our win against Saline, he scored 4 goals. 3 of which were 34 seconds apart. Which is a new MHSAA record for fastest hat trick. The previous record was 1:01.
I would like to Nominate Jarrett Pfeiffer of Lincoln/Milan Unifed Varsity Hockey team for the MHSCHA Player of the week .
Jarrett had 5 goals and 1 Assist in the Championship Game of the Railsplittrer Classic Tournament on Feb 13th at the arctic Edge in Canton,Jarrett was awarded to the all Tournament team and named the tournament MVP. Jarrett is a 4 year Varsity Player and Captain of his team He is a great leader on and off the Ice and has a 3.2 GPA. As of right now Jarrett has 52 Points on the year through 21 games 31 Goals and 21 assists.
Bobby Fredal SCS Unified Lakers - Goalie
I would like to nominate junior goalie Bobby Fredal for MHSHCA Player of the Week honors.Bobby only allowed 3 goals in 2 games on 52 shots and helped the Lakers get 2 wins in the MIHL showcase. The Lakers beat Davison 2-1 and Traverse City Central 4-2. Bobby was key in both wins coming up with some huge saves when the Lakers needed him the most.
